For the September issue of Mix magazine, I visited once again the big mansion in Laurel Canyon where I photographed The Red Hot Chili Peppers and producer Rick Rubin while they were recording “Blood, Sugar, Sex, Magic.” More than two decades later, this is The Avett Brothers and ace engineer Ryan Hewitt, and another Rick Rubin-helmed album.  See more and read the story here.
